The Dental Research Center of Golestan University of Medical Sciences is determined, through the expansion of its research and scholarly activities in various fields of dentistry, to become a specialized and reputable scientific research center at the national, regional, and international levels, with the following characteristics:

• To be recognized as a pioneering center in the creation of new frontiers of knowledge in dental sciences

• To be responsive to the fundamental research needs in the field of dentistry

• To be the most credible center in terms of producing innovative dental knowledge and providing research services

• To guide policies and macro-level planning for addressing dental problems

• To be the leading center in attracting and fully supporting innovators and forward-thinking researchers in modern applied research

• To provide research resources, empower researchers, and create a platform for coordination and scientific and research collaboration with other reputable research centers

Objectives

• To utilize up-to-date knowledge in the field of dental research and oral and dental diseases

• To conduct basic and clinical research in various dental sciences and oral and dental diseases in order to meet the country’s health and treatment needs

• To collect, organize, and classify documents and records related to dentistry and oral and dental diseases in the region, and, when necessary, publish them in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the publication of articles

• To train human resources in the field of research

• To encourage, motivate, and employ the knowledge and experience of scholars and researchers

• To strive for cooperation with other research, educational, and executive centers within the country regarding research projects

• To strive for scientific collaboration with research and educational centers of other countries and international organizations, in compliance with the laws and regulations of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran
